Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team in Texas. The role focuses on planning, design, and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765kV, with responsibilities spanning research, project planning, client interactions, and staff mentoring.

The successful candidate will lead engineering tasks, maintain project schedules, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Engineer license required.
• Familiarity with NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95 is expected.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Create and maintain project schedules and lead meetings.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings.
• Support PMs in scope, schedule, and budget development.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence across multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
