Job summary
GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Transmission Line Engineer 3 to join our Power Delivery team, offering hybrid or fully remote work from Homestead, PA. Lead design reviews, supervise junior staff, and apply engineering principles to power delivery projects.
Requirements include 8+ years in electric utility transmission line engineering, a BS/MS in engineering, and a PE license; proficiency with PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE; strong communication and leadership skills to manage multiple projects.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of electric utility transmission line engineering experience.
- BS or MS in engineering required; PE license preferred.
- Experience with PLS suite and related design tools.
Responsibilities
- Complete day-to-day project tasks for successful project delivery.
- Review and prepare specification packages and drawings.
- Review, design and analysis of transmission lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE; PLS-Tower bonus.
- Review, design and analysis of foundations for structures.
- Apply engineering principles to assist in power delivery design.
- Mentor engineers and designers; provide technical guidance.
- Directly manages projects with no limit to number or value.
