Job summary

GAI is seeking an Engineer 2 Transmission Line to join our Power Delivery team working remotely based in Homestead, PA. This role can be performed in a hybrid or fully remote capacity.

The Engineer 2 Transmission Line is responsible for technical leadership and the successful review of client transmission line designs while maintaining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects within GAI's Transmission & Distribution Division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET accredited college or university in engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in transmission line design concepts and principles.
• 6 years of experience in transmission line design.
• Experience with PLS suite (PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE) required.
• Preferred experience with PLS-TOWER and FAD Tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and lead project tasks to ensure successful delivery.
• Review and prepare specification packages and drawings.
• Design and analyze transmission lines using PLS tools; analyze foundations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality with strong communication.
