Job summary

WeDriveU, Inc. in Naples, FL, seeks a Senior ITS Analyst to lead the ITS for the Collier County bus operation.

The role is hands-on, focusing on CAD/AVL, onboard vehicle logic units, mobile data terminals, and passenger information systems, coordinating with Dispatch and customer information channels. The candidate will bring 5+ years of transit tech experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and the ability to work around transit vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, engineering, transportation technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of experience supporting enterprise, fleet, transportation, or transit technology with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Direct experience with transit CAD/AVL or related bus ITS systems preferred.
• Experience with integrated hardware/software environments, vendor systems, cellular communications, databases, APIs or data feeds, and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical administrator and SME for transit ITS applications and onboard technology.
• Monitor system health and resolve issues affecting buses, Dispatch, passenger information, or related systems.
• Administer and support CAD/AVL for real-time vehicle location, schedule adherence, and operations.
• Support onboard components such as vehicle logic units, mobile data terminals, GPS/AVL, IP cameras, and fare interfaces.
• Maintain configuration data for vehicles, routes, stops, and user accounts.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to validate service changes and GTFS data before implementation.
• Investigate discrepancies in location, counts, announcements, and schedule adherence; determine root causes.
• Work with ITS vendors, vehicle manufacturers, Maintenance, IT, and Operations to troubleshoot and document resolutions.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data extracts for Operations, Planning, and NTD reporting.
• Maintain technical documentation, inventories, change logs, and system diagrams.
• Manage user access and permissions per security policies.
• Provide training and support to dispatchers, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
