Job summary

The Charlotte Area Transit System is seeking an IT Business Analyst to translate operational needs into system requirements and support configuration, databases, interfaces, testing, and issue resolution. Primary systems include OnRoute, GIRO HASTUS, MDTs, and MDT integration with Genfare fareboxes.

Working with IT, Transportation Operations, Maintenance, Dispatch, and vendors, you will ensure reliable systems and accurate transit data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 7+ years in business systems analysis, application support, or transit tech.
• Experience with transit applications and onboard bus deployments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system steward for assigned transit applications and support deployments.
• Document workflows, develop requirements, and coordinate with vendors and ops teams.
• Troubleshoot and validate data exchanges among OnRoute, HASTUS, MDTs, and Genfare.
• Plan upgrades, perform testing, and ensure data integrity and governance.
