Job summary

Consor is seeking a Traffic Engineering Professional Engineer to lead planning, analysis, design, and delivery of traffic engineering elements for complex transportation projects in the Dallas area.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and drive safe, innovative mobility solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and project success from concept to final delivery. The role blends office and field work in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
• 4–10+ years of directly related traffic engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ORD and traffic analysis software such as Synchro, VISSIM, HCS or similar tools.
• Proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of traffic engineering design plans, specifications and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Design and oversee traffic control systems including signals, signing, pavement markings, lighting, and work zone control.
• Perform and review traffic engineering calculations, modeling, and analyses to standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate and mentor junior engineers and designers across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support quality control, scheduling, risk management and delivery of traffic-related design deliverables.
• Support and interpret traffic studies related to design implementation and construction plans.
• Prepare opinions of probable construction cost and participate in agency/public meetings as the traffic engineering representative.
