Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years commercial construction experience.
• 2+ years field supervision experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• May require travel.
• May work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety culture and mentors others.
• Works with tools to complete assigned tasks on a project.
• Tracks and reports units and labor hours; submits timecards.
• Maintains tools and equipment to support production on a project.
• Leads and monitors safety and security procedures within the crew.
• Understands and achieves crew production goals and aligns crew sizes.
• Documents key information like activities and crew sizes.
• Coordinates with suppliers and deliveries to jobsite.
• Coordinates other trade work within scope of work.
• Participates in safety activities (toolbox talks, JHAs, SIMS).
• Reads and understands plans, specs, shop drawings, coordination drawings.
• Provides on-the-job guidance and shares expertise.
• Manages subcontractor crews for portions of projects or small projects.
• Creates and monitors crew production goals; coordinates larger crews.
• Coordinates preplanning: crew size, schedule, materials, meetings, manpower.
• Coordinates construction resources; internal and external support.
• Creates and implements safety plans and ensures compliance via training.
• Controls costs via project management data and reports.
• Supports QA/QC to ensure task quality.
• Applies Lean principles on site (standups, pull planning).
• Assists with Materials and Other Costs (MOC) and equipment analysis.
