Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to design tooling and equipment for the production and integration of the New Glenn Launch Vehicle. The role requires applying mechanical design principles, advanced manufacturing, and a collaborative mindset to deliver tooling solutions.

You will work with flight, manufacturing, and integration engineers to cradle-to-grave tooling projects, manage vendor selection, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning, and ensure safety, cost, and

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of tooling, fixtures, and custom machines design, build, and commissioning.
Strong CAD/CAE experience including FEM and structural analysis.
Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Design tooling and equipment for production and integration of launch vehicles.
Collaborate with flight, manufacturing, and integration teams to optimize tooling across programs.
Manage tooling projects from vendor selection through commissioning.
Ensure safety, cost, quality, cycle time, and reliability targets.
