Job summary

X-energy is seeking a Safety Analysis Engineer to support the Risk Informed Safety Analysis team in performing thermo-hydraulic safety analyses for Xe-100 licensing and design. You will lead thermo-hydraulic evaluations, support SSC classifications, and contribute to regulatory submittals and V&V activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, nuclear/chemical/mechanical preferred.
• 10 years in an engineering role; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.
• Experience with V&V activities and NRC guidance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermo-hydraulic safety analyses for assigned systems and scenarios.
• Develop PIRTs and scaling analyses to support Xe-100 design.
• Support SSC classifications and regulatory submittals with analytical results.
• Lead small teams of safety analysts and provide mentorship.
