Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulic Analysis Engineer to support licensing, design, qualification, and operability of nuclear facilities.

You'll contribute to safety analyses across SAR, ISA, and LAR documents, and work within a multi-disciplinary team on radiological, mechanical, and environmental assessments. The role involves modeling and evaluating high-energy piping systems, containment/habitability analysis, LOCA concerns, and collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of safety analysis experience in a nuclear environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to plant sites for assignments.
• Interest in applying technical skills to complex engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, evaluations, engineering change packages, and licensing documents for SAR/ISA/LAR related to nuclear analysis licensing submittals.
• Develop and assess nuclear facility safety programs, design basis documents and key calculations per USNRC & DOE expectations.
• Perform steady-state and transient thermal-hydraulic analyses of high energy line breaks, containment response, and HVAC performance evaluations.
• Model nuclear systems using RELAP5/RETRAN/MELCOR/MAAP for commercial plants and new designs.
• Evaluate piping hydrodynamics, water hammer, heat exchanger performance, and pump specs with tools like AFT-FATHOM/ARROW/IMPULSE/PROTO-FLO/PROTO-HX/PEPSE.
• Engage in client reviews, expert panels, NRC audits, and contribute to technical proposals and business development.
