Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our Linthicum, MD team. The role focuses on designing advanced electronics thermal management and leading analysis across airborne, ground, and naval platforms.

Onsite work daily, with clearance requirements and opportunities to mentor other engineers. You’ll apply heat transfer, convection and conduction principles, perform advanced simulations, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• U.S Citizenship is required.
• Must obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Onsite work at Linthicum, MD facility daily.
• Experience in electronics design focusing on thermal analysis.
• Experience with design-by-analysis using numerical methods.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced electronics thermal management solutions to optimize performance.
• Perform electronics thermal analysis using heat transfer principles.
• Lead thermal designs by owning requirements, architecture, and performance; mentor engineers.
• Provide oral and written presentations to internal and external customers.
