Job summary

RTX is seeking a Thermal Analyst II in the US to perform comprehensive thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design trade studies through production support. Responsibilities include hand calculations, finite element analysis, test planning, data reduction and model correlation, with peer reviews and customer presentations.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by the start date.
Experience in thermal analysis with tools FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA or ANSYS.

Responsibilities

Perform hand calculations to determine scope of higher detail analysis models.
Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve program thermal challenges.
Generate test plans required to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance.
Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
Work with peers to ensure technical accuracy.
Present results to internal, external, and government customers.
Generate detailed documentation of work and archive for reference.
