Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Test Operator to support assembly and testing of new turbine engines at our Centennial, CO facility. You will apply instrumentation, install engines into test cells, and support test sequences while coordinating with engineering, supply chain, and EHS teams.

The role involves a three-day workweek with three 12-hour shifts (Friday to Sunday) and will pay a shift differential.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience with 2 years of mechanical and/or electrical assembly testing experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of testing processes, Standard Work Instruction adherence, hand-tool utilization, and Lean manufacturing.
• Passion for working in advanced technological and rapidly scaling environments, delivering results to please our customers every day.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Very positive mindset, even under stressful situations, with productive interpersonal interactions.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and task execution skills.
• High initiative and ability to learn quickly from instructions and hands-on practice.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Following standard work instructions, install, align, connect, and execute a pre-programmed series of test steps.
• Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment in daily activities according to instructions.
• Occasionally read blueprints/schematics to guide actions.
• Conduct all activities safely per Environmental Health and Safety policies.
• Wear prescribed PPE daily.
• Install instrumentation on engine hardware (thermocouples, transducers, strain gauges, accelerometers).
• Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure availability.
• Complete mechanical/electrical work on supporting equipment as directed by leadership.
• Support creation or improvement of test procedures, troubleshoot issues, and document best practices.
• Use measuring/inspecting equipment to ensure conformance to design specs.
• Use software to display instructions and track progress.
• Support other functions as needed for business success.
• Provide timely communications on significant issues; participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping for every task.
• May travel to Cincinnati, OH or Knoxville, TN locations as needed.
