Job summary

Markent Personnel is assisting a premier EMS provider in recruiting a Test Engineering Manager to lead test development and production test teams, owning automated, cost-effective test strategies for PCBA and electromechanical systems.

This role bridges design requirements with factory floor execution, driving DFT/DFM practices and collaborating with Design, Production, and Quality to improve throughput and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years engineering experience in a PCBA EMS environment.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing flows (SMT, through-hole, mixed-technology).
• Familiarity with IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, test developers, and technicians, coordinating resources, budgets, and timelines.
• Architect standardized, reusable test equipment, fixtures, and automated test environments (ICT, Flying Probe, Functional Testing).
• Oversee development of diagnostic programs and test automation using LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, or .NET.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Production Operations, and Quality to champion DFT/DFM early in product lifecycle.
• Analyze PCBA failure trends, debug root-cause issues, and optimize test cycles to reduce cycle times and defects.
