Job summary

Ashton North LLC seeks a Test Engineering Manager to lead the test development and production test engineering teams responsible for automated, cost-effective test strategies for complex PCBA and electromechanical systems. You will bridge design requirements with factory execution to ensure product reliability and quality throughput.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture of reusable test fixtures, and integration with Design-for-Test and Design-for-Manufacturing from early in the product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years in a PCBA EMS environment with at least 3 years in supervision/management.
• Robust knowledge of electronics manufacturing flows (SMT, through-hole, mixed-technology) and test platforms.
• Familiarity with IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, test developers, and technicians.
• Own architectural development of standardized test equipment and automated environments (ICT, Flying Probe, Functional Testing).
• Oversee diagnostic programs and test automation using LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, or .NET.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Production Operations, and Quality to implement DFT and DFM principles.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing PCBA failures and optimizing test cycles.
