The role leads test development and production test teams to deliver automated, cost-effective testing strategies for complex PCBA and electromechanical systems. Responsibilities include designing reusable test equipment, fixtures, and automated testing with LabVIEW, TestStand, and C#/ .NET, while collaborating across Design, Operations, and Quality to embed DFT/DFM early

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years engineering experience in a PCBA manufacturing/EMS environment.
• At least 3 years in supervisory or management capacity.
• Robust knowledge of SMT, through-hole, and mixed-technology assembly processes.
• Experience with IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, test developers, and technicians.
• Own design, implementation, and optimization of automated test strategies for PCBA/electromechanical systems.
• Develop standardized test equipment, fixtures, and automated test environments (ICT, Flying Probe, Functional testing).

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Manager to lead our test development and production test engineering teams. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, implementation, and optimization of automated, cost-effective test strategies for complex PCBA and electromechanical systems. You will bridge the gap between design requirements and factory floor execution, ensuring the highest standards of product reliability and quality throughput.

Core Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Mentor, supervise, and expand a team of electrical engineers, test developers, and test technicians. Coordinate resource allocation, budgets, and engineering timelines.
• Test Strategy & Design: Lead the architectural development of standardized, reusable test equipment, custom test fixtures, and automated test environments (ICT, Flying Probe, and Functional Testing).
• Software & Diagnostics: Oversee the creation of diagnostic programs and test automation protocols utilizing frameworks such as LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, or .NET.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design Engineering, Production Operations, and Quality teams to champion Design-for-Test (DFT) and Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) principles early in the product lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement: Perform PCBA failure trend analysis, debug root-cause failures, and optimize factory test cycles to minimize cycle times and prevent downstream defects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–8+ years of engineering experience within a PCBA manufacturing/EMS environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Technical Skills: Robust knowledge of electronics manufacturing flows (SMT, through-hole, mixed-technology), test instrumentation, boundary-scan, and automated test platforms.
• Compliance: Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949).
