Job summary

Trustco Bank is seeking a Head Teller to lead daily teller operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and supervise tellers at the Ballston Lake branch. The role requires adherence to security, privacy, and banking policies while maintaining confidentiality.

The Head Teller will oversee cash handling procedures, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other teller duties, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Strong supervisory skills and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash-handling experience expected.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in person, by phone, and via email.
• Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
• Ability to lift 10-20 lbs., stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a warm, professional environment for customers.
• Lead and mentor tellers; oversee daily cash balancing and audit logs; manage cash shipments.
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, credit card payments, and night deposits.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports; maintain transaction records per audit standards and regulations.
