Job summary

BayPort Credit Union is seeking a Lead Teller in Virginia Beach to oversee daily teller operations and deliver exceptional member service. You will supervise tellers, coach staff, and handle complex transactions while ensuring policy compliance and accurate cash management.

You will also manage cash handling, vault operations, and coordinate with branch leadership to support training and development of the teller team. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or financial services training preferred.
Previous banking or cash handling experience required; supervisory or leadership experience a plus.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and develop others.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily teller operations to ensure smooth branch service and accuracy.
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and inquiries with high accuracy.
Supervise teller staff and provide coaching during daily operations.
Manage vault, cash handling, and verify cash shipments with regulatory compliance.
Open/close procedures for the branch and maintain security of cash and documents.
Educate members on BayPort Credit Union products and services to meet needs.
