Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Foreman in the Charleston area to oversee installation of communications cabling and equipment in accordance with plans, codes, and standards. This full-time role requires hands-on leadership of crew(s) and adherence to safety policies, with potential for Secret clearance eligibility.

The position emphasizes training and supervising technicians, ensuring quality assurance, and coordinating with senior management to resolve field issues across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BICSI Technician certification is required or desirable.
• Candidates will undergo government security investigation for a Secret clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and driving record.
• Background check and drug screening are required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Wear PPE and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Lead and supervise technicians/apprentices on telecommunication installs.
• Interpret plans/specifications and explain to field workers.
• Install low voltage cabling and telecom devices per codes.
• Manage projects with 5+ personnel at multiple sites.
• Ensure quality assurance and maintain a clean work area.
