M.C. Dean, Inc. in Charleston, SC invites experienced telecom foremen to join our field teams supporting installation of low-voltage cabling and telecom equipment.

The role requires leading crews, coordinating daily work, and ensuring compliance with drawings, codes, and safety standards. Expect hands-on leadership, training of technicians, and close collaboration with senior management to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years prior experience in commercial communications industry
• High School diploma or GED is required
• BICSI Technician
• This position is subject to an additional customer drug screening and background check.
• Clearance/Citizen Type: US citizenship for access to classified information (ability to obtain Secret clearance)

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and Safe Use of hand tools and various power tools
• Following Safety Policies and Procedures
• Installation of various types of Low Voltage Cable
• Managing small to large sized projects of 5 or more persons at one or more locations
• Interpreting and explaining plans/specifications to field workers
• Foreman should have knowledge of BICSI and TIA/EIA standards for proper install and termination procedures
• Terminating, testing, troubleshooting of Low Voltage Cabling (Fiber Optics, Cat 5, Cat 6)
• Foreman needs to be able to train and supervise technicians/apprentices in a team environment to facilitate installing telecommunication systems
• Foreman must have full tool set based on ITS Telecom tool list
• Daily hour/unit reports for their crews – Submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to Foreman on established form (Standard Time Sheet)
