Job summary

E2 Optics is seeking a skilled Cabling Technician to install structured cabling systems, lead small teams, and ensure safety and quality on client sites. You will read plans, test copper and fiber, and travel as required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 within first 2 weeks in role.
• BICSI Installer 2 Copper preferred.
• BICSI Installer 2 Fiber preferred.
• BICSI Certified Technician must be earned within 12 months in role.
• 2–5 years in structured cabling or related construction.
• Read, write and understand English.
• Distinguish color codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 3–5 Technicians and Installers to complete tasks.
• Train Technicians to perform duties.
• Oversee jobsite organization and housekeeping.
• Read and interpret floorplans, drawings and specs.
• Install copper and fiber cabling system components and perform testing.
