Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a Slot Technician to install, repair and maintain electronic gaming equipment. You will troubleshoot to the component level, communicate breakdowns to the team, investigate variances, and lead/join supervision as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of slot technician experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, technical training preferred.
• Two years slot technician experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain all electronic gaming equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electronic gaming equipment to component level and document issues.
• Communicate operational and technical breakdowns clearly to teammates and supervisors.
• Investigate slot variances and potential causes; adhere to company policies.
• Investigate slot cheating attempts or malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Train new hires in a fast-paced environment following training guidelines.
• Provide leadership on shift and step into supervisory capacity when needed.
• Support guest experience by upholding quality service and compliance with regulations.
• Identify and report unethical or illegal behavior per standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all electronic gaming equipment, slots and table games, to ensure minimal downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair all electronic gaming equipment to the component level
• Effectively communicate all operational and technical breakdowns and provide solutions to team members
• Investigate slot variances to identify and correct all possible causes for reported variances per company policies
• Investigate all slot cheating attempts, malfunctions, and substandard equipment repair within all assigned areas.
• Train newly hired employees within a fast paced environment following departmental training guidelines
• Provides leadership to team members upon direction from management to help promote team member development
• Step into a supervisory capacity to lead shift and provide direction with tasks in the absence of the supervisor or manager
• Contribute to the leading edge culture of Rivers Casino by helping foster innovation for the growth of the team and the company
• Assists all departments in providing outstanding guest service to all patrons for an overall excellent customer experience
• Adhere to all policies and procedures in order to maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies, both internal and external
• Identify and report unethical and illegal behavior in accordance with all company and regulatory standards
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino – Des Plaines I...
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, technical training preferred, with a minimum two (2) years slot technician experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Comfortable with repetitive transactions
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including weekends and holidays
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
