Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Poker Dealer to mechanically deal poker, handle guest transactions, and uphold gaming regulations with accuracy and poise.

You will support guest service standards and maintain professional demeanor while promoting fair play and adherence to rules. Walk-in interviews occur weekly at the Des Plaines site with on-site parking and shuttle options available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Responsibilities

• Performs the act of mechanically dealing a Poker game in a proficient manner according to company policies and gaming regs.
• Handles guest transactions and notifies Supervisor of irregularities; communicates disputes to the Poker Room Supervisor/Shift Manager.
• Manages gaming chips, collects rake and distributes winning pots per IC guidelines.
• Supports Rivers Casino Des Plaines guest service standards and promotes guest relations and game rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned and participates in Self-Exclusion program per Illinois requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs the act of mechanically dealing a Poker game in a proficient manner, according to current company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations.
• Responsible for handling guest transactions and notifying Poker Room Supervisor of any irregularities while advising a Poker Room Supervisor,or Poker Room Shift Manager of any disputes or arguments that may arise during the game among players/Poker Dealers.
• Manages gaming chips, collects rake and distributes winning pots according to approved IC in an accurate manner.
• Supports and maintains the Rivers Casino -- Des Plaines guest service standards at all times while promoting outstanding guest relations and enforcing rules of the game.
• Performs other duties requested or assigned.
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino -- Des Plaines IC.

Physical Requirements:

• Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
