Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking personable hospitality professionals to join our Food & Beverage team. Interview on the spot every Wednesday from 12 PM to 2 PM with free parking and shuttle access from Rosemont Blue Line Station.

Responsibilities include serving drinks and food, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous service. Prior experience is helpful; ability to work various shifts and stay composed under pressure is essential.

Job Functions:

• Responsible for providing service to all casino customers in an efficient courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service.
• Must be willing to work all shifts.
• Picks up empty glasses and returns them to the proper area.
• Works in assigned area, taking drink orders, presenting drinks to customers, clearing tables and serving food.
• Maintains a clean station at all times and performs assigned side work duties such as stocking coffee, glasses, cream, sugar, beverage napkins, etc.
• Possesses complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
• Ensures that all guests are treated in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
• Knows the menu items, specials, and prices.
• Completes all side work and other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
• Offers assistance to all guests regardless of where they are seated.
• Works to ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
• Handles any guest’s complaints or problems in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Ensures thorough communication between shifts.
• Remains up to date on all Departmental Policies and Procedures.
• Complies with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and departmental procedures.
• Performs all other duties specified or assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least twenty (20) pounds at one time and grip necessary items (glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, money, etc.)
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as bend, stoop, and twist while serving cocktails.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and team members.
• Possesses ability to work under pressure.
• Prior experience is helpful as well as a proven track record demonstrating sound judgment.
• Is always clean and neat, in proper uniform, including nametag, I. D. badge, and slip resistant
• Ability to communicate with Team members and guests
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
