Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. is seeking a skilled MineStar technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support Caterpillar MineStar technology systems—including Fleet, Terrain, and Command—on Caterpillar and Empire-supported mining machines in field and shop environments.

You will diagnose malfunctions, calibrate hardware and software, prepare machines for deployment, and communicate findings to customers and management. Travel to remote sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current driver’s license.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• 2-year MineStar experience across Fleet, Site Aware, Command and Terrain.
• Knowledge of Trimble GNSS products and related tech.
• Ability to create/edit basic surface designs in CAD.
• Must communicate in English (speak/read/write).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to technicians as assigned.
