Elastic is seeking a Principal Technical Writer to lead the strategy and execution of onboarding and Getting Started content. You will transform onboarding materials into a cohesive, narrative-driven experience that guides users to their first aha moment.

You will partner with the Self-Service (SSC) team, acting as a bridge between the field, product, and documentation to ensure content is accurate and effective at guiding trial-to-paid conversion.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in technical writing or developer-focused roles, with onboarding or user journey design experience.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives and influence across product, engineering, and sales/field organizations.
• Experience creating cohesive stories for complex technical products.
• Comfort with using analytics and support data to inform documentation decisions.

Aufgaben

• Drive onboarding content strategy and define a cohesive narrative for learning to use Elastic products.
• Align Field, Product, and Docs as a central point of contact to ensure high-quality output.
• Design user-focused onboarding flows highlighting best practices and clear next steps.
• Measure and iterate using user research and telemetry to reduce churn and improve time-to-first-value.
