Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking a Lead Teacher at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center to provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate program for young children.

You'll plan, implement, and supervise activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, while maintaining safety, family communication, and program quality in a dynamic childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 1,000 hours in a licensed program.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and curriculum development.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs with creative strategies.
• Ability to form developmentally appropriate relationships with children and promote positive behavior.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Foster a nurturing environment with positive guidance and emergent curriculum elements.
• Plan and outline curriculum to meet individual youth needs.
• Ensure health and safety, monitor program goals, and track outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and weekly reports; communicate with families.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and practicum students; provide feedback.
• Assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well-being.
