Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire invites applications for a full-time Associate Teacher at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center on the NHTI campus in Concord. The role supports children, staff, and families while upholding BGCCNNH’s mission and safety standards.

You will engage children with emergent curriculum, document observations, and help maintain a healthy, organized classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an associate teacher qualified before Nov 6, 2017.
• 9 credits in related coursework or 1000 hours of supervised child care.
• Knowledge of child growth and development through specified options.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum development.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs; creative teaching.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children and assist with classroom care.
• Document child observations and maintain records.
• Prepare emergent curriculum in collaboration with staff.
• Supervise staff, practicum students, and volunteers.
• Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness of the classroom.
