Job summary

Joyoflearningcenter in Knoxville, TN is seeking experienced Lead Teachers to join our play-based curriculum and nurture curious, lifelong learners.

You will plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities, prepare children for kindergarten, and maintain open communication with families using our Classroom Management system.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • College coursework in ECE or an equivalent certification.
  • 6 months of experience preferred or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily care (mealtime, potty, nap).
  • Maintain open communication with parents and team using the Classroom Management system.

We are looking for experienced teachers to join our talented team where we inspire children to be lifelong learners through our play-based curriculum. What you bring as a Team Member:

All Lead Teachers are expected to plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as mealtime, potty training, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system. Lead Teachers will oversee classroom management and the daily tasks of junior team members. You will also assist the Assistant Director and Director in classroom and facility management as directed.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older. Must have College Course Work in ECE with a minimum of 1 year of experience, or ECE Certification, CDA, Associate's, or bachelor's in childcare related major and 6 months of experience.

Pay:

$14.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on education and experience
