Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher in Kings Park, NY. Lead a safety-conscious, nurturing classroom and bring the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life with hands-on activities.

You will support children's development and collaborate with families and center leadership to ensure an exceptional learning environment. Must meet NY State lead teacher requirements and have early childhood education credentials or equivalent coursework.

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable New York State requirements for a lead teacher
• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Strong foundation in licensing/credentialing requirements for NY

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum through hands-on lessons
• Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed
• Observe development and communicate progress with families
• Maintain routines, materials, and documentation
• Partner with teachers and leadership for a strong family experience
• Follow NY childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Pay: $20-$24 per hour

Location: Kings Park, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive.

You'll have the support of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team - giving you more time to focus on what matters most: teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

What We're Looking For

• Must meet applicable New York State requirements for a lead teacher
• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with NY requirements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
