Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring a Lead Teacher in Huntington, NY to create a fun, nurturing classroom where young children learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll use our L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with rich resources and a collaborative team to support children’s development.

You’ll lead activities, document progress, and partner with families and staff to ensure a high-quality family experience and compliance with NY licensing and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

Pay: $19–$23 per hour

Location: Huntington, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Teacher to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive.

You’ll have the support of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team—giving you more time to focus on what matters most: teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

What You'll Do

• Bring TLE's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities
• Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported
• Observe children's development and communicate progress with families

What We're Looking For

Must meet applicable New York State requirements for a lead teacher

• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with NY requirements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
