The Learning Experience in Deer Park, NY is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging classroom where young children learn, grow, and thrive.

You will have access to the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team to focus on teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Must meet New York State requirements for a lead teacher.
• Experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom.
• Background screenings, health and training requirements per NY rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging preschool classroom.
• Deliver hands-on lessons via L.E.A.P. Curriculum®.
• Support social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe and communicate progress with families; maintain materials and docs.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership for a great family experience.
• Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Pay: $19–$23 per hour

Location: Deer Park, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive.

You'll have the support of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team—giving you more time to focus on what matters most: teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

What You'll Do

Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom

• Bring TLE's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities
• Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported
• Observe children's development and communicate progress with families
• Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation
• Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience
• Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

Must meet applicable New York State requirements for a lead teacher

• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with NY requirements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
