The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced UPK Teacher to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging preschool classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll lead with our L.E.A.P. Curriculum® and collaborate with a center team to deliver a strong early education foundation.

You’ll monitor child development, communicate with families, and ensure safety and compliance with NY licensing.

Qualifications

• NYS Certified Teacher is required.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom.
• Early Childhood Education or CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience per NY requirements.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Must meet background screening, health, and training requirements.

Universal Pre-K Teacher (UPK)

Pay: $25–$29 per hour

Location: Kings Park, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30-3:00pm

You’ll have the support of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team—giving you more time to focus on what matters most: teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

What You’ll Do

Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom

• Bring TLE's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities
• Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported
• Observe children's development and communicate progress with families
• Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation
• Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience
• Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• NYS Certified Teacher
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with NY requirements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
