Job summary

The Learning Experience in Kings Park, NY is hiring an experienced UPK Teacher to create a fun, nurturing preschool classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll work with our L.E.A.P. Curriculum® and center team to focus on development, relationships, and safety.

You’ll lead engaging lessons, support children’s growth across social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical domains, and partner with families to ensure a positive, collaborative experience for every child.

Qualifications

• NYS Certified Teacher is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Experience in preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom preferred.
• Early Childhood Education degree, CDA, credential, or NY-approved coursework/experience required.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills essential.
• Passion for helping young children learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging preschool classroom.
• Implement L.E.A.P. Curriculum through hands-on activities.
• Support social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Create a welcoming classroom environment for every child.
• Observe development and communicate progress to families.
• Maintain routines, materials, and required documentation.

Universal Pre-K Teacher (UPK)

Pay: $25–$29 per hour

Location: Kings Park, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30-3:00pm

You’ll have the support of our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, classroom resources, and a collaborative center team—giving you more time to focus on what matters most: teaching and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• NYS Certified Teacher
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or relevant coursework/experience consistent with NY requirements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Must meet applicable background screening, health, and training requirements
