Job summary
RTX in Goleta, CA seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to provide EW and radar system test support from initiation to system transition. You will analyze issues, design prototype systems with a multidisciplinary team, and develop rigorous test plans for performance verification.
The role requires 5+ years in EW/radar design and testing, a STEM degree, and an active DoD Secret clearance. Relocation assistance is available; candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years EW/radar/test experience.
- Experience designing/testing EW and radar systems with millimeter/microwave RF.
- Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering and integration test support from project initiation through system transition.
- Analyze technical issues and determine resolutions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop prototype systems.
- Support defining team objectives and contribute to complex system decisions.
- Develop test plans and procedures for EW system performance evaluation.
- Prepare verification and acceptance documentation for components and systems.
- Design test configurations for lab and field evaluation of the Unit Under Test.
- Lead IV&V activities and coordinate cross-functional teams during testing.
