Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design of high‑reliability rotary motion assemblies for space and defense. The onsite role in Christiansburg, VA reports to Engineering Director and guides an integrated product team on challenging electromechanical hardware.

Required are a Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical engineering degree and 5–7 years of experience, with UG NX CAD/CAE proficiency and motion control knowledge. Security clearance is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience focused on precision electromechanical hardware.
• Deep expertise in mechanical design and packaging, plus electrical analytics.
• Hands-on CAD/CAE modeling with UG NX preferred.
• Knowledge of motion control techniques and motion simulations.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design for complex rotary servo motion assemblies for aerospace/military use.
• Convert requirements into SOWs and product specifications.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal and dynamics disciplines for robust solutions.
• Model, predict and evaluate system performance to select best designs.
• Mentor the integrated product development team to meet milestones.
• Act as principal technical liaison to management, customers and suppliers.
