Job summary

Moog Inc. in Blacksburg, VA seeks a Senior System Engineer to own system design for complex rotary servo motion assemblies in harsh environments.

You will lead cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and thermal disciplines to deliver integrated electromechanical systems. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in precision electromechanical design, and experience with CAD/CAE tools (UG NX preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelors in a mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering discipline.
• 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of precision electromechanical equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical design/packaging skills with solid electrical/analytical aptitude.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs complex rotary servo motion assemblies for harsh environments and high-reliability military/aerospace applications.
• Lead multidisciplinary efforts to develop integrated electromechanical systems.
• Predicts system performance and selects optimal approaches for applications.
• Leads an integrated product development team to ensure timely project completion.
• Interprets customer specifications and prepares statements of work and product specs.
• Interfaces with suppliers and customers on technical program aspects.
