Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation in the United States is seeking a Lead Surveyor to supervise survey operations for the SPL5 project. The role leads a survey team, ensures safety/quality, and coordinates with Field Engineering and Superintendents on design, data and validation tasks.

The position requires a technical degree with extensive heavy construction surveying experience and UAV/drone familiarity, plus proficiency with Survey CAD, GNSS, and Digital Terrain Models.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical degree or 15 years in heavy surveying with supervision experience.
• Experience working on multiple work fronts.
• Experience as Pilot of UAV (Drones).

Responsibilities

• Lead the oversight of all survey operations, providing technical direction to the survey team.
• Ensure the survey team's implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Responsible for the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities.
• Provide Construction Survey support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision.
• Establish and/or verify and maintain the project's survey control network.
