Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meets patients’ surgical needs.
• Sets up surgical back table with instrumentation and drapes.
• Maintains sterile field and ensures sterility of instruments and supplies.
• Preps and drapes patients according to procedure.
• Maintains aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Trains/mentors staff in specialty areas.
• Oversees instrument trays and communicates with surgeons and management.
• Attends in-service training for new equipment and procedures.
