Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Graduate of approved operating room course for surgical technologist.
• CPR Certification and CSA/NSAA certification or National Board Surgical Technology are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet patients' surgical needs.
• Set up surgical back table with instrumentation, supplies and drapes for procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and use universal precautions throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operations to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.
• Keep accurate instrument, sponge and sharp counts and prep patient areas per policy.
• Support cost containment and proper handling of instruments and supplies.
