Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is hiring a Lead Support Staff for the Singles Program at the Mather Community Campus. The role emphasizes leading a team, ensuring safe, compassionate service, and adherence to program objectives.

You will supervise daily duties, support participation, and help manage crisis situations while maintaining clear communication with leadership and staff.

Qualifications

• Equivalents of education and experience accepted.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend instructions.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily work to meet program objectives.
• Lead by example in shift responsibilities and ensure quality service.
• Explain campus rules to participants and manage intakes.
• Coordinate bed/sleeping assignments, showers, laundering, and daily routines.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance when needed.
• Maintain daily reports and shift/incident logs.
• Assist with staff direction and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain safety and program integrity; communicate with Supervisors.
