Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Support Staff member for the Adolfo Housing Program at our Mather Community Campus.

You will ensure safety for clients, perform daily duties, and support residents in achieving educational, housing, and personal goals. The role requires flexibility with hours, strong communication, and a commitment to compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Teamwork skills and strong oral and written communication are essential.
• Ability to assist clients and colleagues with care and support in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to irregular hours and crisis situations.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities; proficient in basic computer use.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of clients and property with compassionate service.
• Maintain shift logs and incident reports; communicate with Program Supervisor.
• Provide awake, mobile shift coverage and grounds security at all times.
• Assist with client development toward educational, housing, and other goals.
• De-escalate crises and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Perform housekeeping and routine maintenance as needed.
• Read logs daily and maintain program equipment inventories.
