Job summary

Samet Corporation is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on a Charleston civic/education courthouse project. You will direct trade activities, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery on-site.

You will manage multiple subcontractors, review drawings, maintain schedules, and drive seamless coordination across structural steel and concrete work, with a focus on compliance and government requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of construction experience with 3–5 years in a supervisory role, civic/education and courthouse projects.
• Experience on commercial, institutional, or industrial projects; courthouse/education preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam; proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all construction activities on assigned projects, focusing on civic and education facilities.
• Coordinate schedules among trades and subcontractors for seamless integration of structures.
• Monitor progress, maintain schedules, and address courthouse-specific requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts for public projects.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and manage daily safety meetings.
• Lead the field team in quality initiatives and inspections.
• Maintain clean, organized sites and manage punch lists through closeout.
• Develop baseline schedules and manage the CPM schedule with the project team.
• Meet with AHJs and inspectors to facilitate approvals and documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on subcontractor scopes and progress.
