Job summary

Samet Corporation is seeking a Superintendent – Healthcare for our Charleston, SC area. The role oversees field supervision, coordination of healthcare construction activities, and achievement of schedule, budget, and quality targets on assigned healthcare projects.

You will lead diverse teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction on site. Preference given to candidates in the Charleston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and professional email etiquette.
• Experience collaborating on quality assurance and safety initiatives.
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specs, and construction documentation processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting and leading meetings with stakeholders.
• Minimum 5-7 years of construction experience with healthcare focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate 4-week look-ahead schedules.
• Participate in all schedule updates and ensure alignment with timelines.
• Lead weekly coordination, pre-install, and schedule meetings.
• Own the CPM schedule and update it throughout the project.
• Provide daily field oversight for safe, efficient job sites.
• Plan sequencing to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Collaborate with field team, subcontractors, and stakeholders for quality control.
• Assist in developing and submitting RFIs.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.
• Enforce safety policies and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct weekly safety inspections and reports.
• Oversee punch lists through closeout.
• Coordinate with AHJs and inspectors for approvals.
• Review subcontractor performance against deadlines.
• Promote quality initiatives and safe practices on site.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization.
• Update PMP as required.
• Work with Project Manager on subcontractor scopes.
