Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an experienced Substation Protection and Control Engineer to lead design teams on transmission substations, battery storage, and solar collector projects. You will provide technical direction, mentor junior staff, and ensure safe, cost-effective engineering outcomes.

Expect involvement in proposals, cost estimates, and client liaison. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in engineering, an ABET-accredited degree, and a PE license or equivalent licensure process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required, ABET-accredited preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with utility substation protection and control systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for protection and control design projects.
• Provide technical direction on complex engineering problems for substations, storage, and solar projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Support proposal development, cost estimating, and business development efforts.
• Review drawings, write specifications, and ensure design quality and compliance.
