Job summary

Global Talent Resources, Inc is seeking a Lead Physical Engineer to lead physical substation engineering for large-scale renewable energy projects, providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and designers.

You will oversee 35 kV to 500 kV layouts, grounding, lightning protection, illumination, and related calculations, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, review drawings and specifications, and ensure adherence to ANSI/IEEE/NEC/NESC standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
7-9 years of experience in substation design and engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Consulting experience and large-scale renewable energy project exposure preferred.
Leadership experience with project and discipline teams preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design of 35 kV to 500 kV substations including layouts and conductor routing.
Mentor a team of engineers and designers with regular performance reviews.
Prepare and review drawings, calculations, BOMs, and construction documents.
Coordinate with project teams across transmission and civil disciplines.
Ensure compliance with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, and NERC standards.
Travel up to 10% to project sites and client offices.
