Job summary

Pike Engineering in the United States is seeking a lead Substation Protection & Control Engineer to deliver safe, cost-effective engineering and design services for substations up to 500 kV, battery storage, and solar collector facilities. You will guide a team of engineers and designers, perform responsible charge duties, and support proposals and cost estimating.

The role requires 5–7 years of engineering experience, an ABET‑accredited degree (or equivalent) and PE licensure or eligibility

Qualifications

5 to 7 years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
PE license or the ability to be licensed within one year.
Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited Engineering Program or equivalent (NCEES evaluation accepted).

Responsibilities

Lead protection and control design for substation and transmission projects.
Develop project scopes, estimates, budgets and schedules.
Mentor junior designers and oversee project teams.
Coordinate with other design disciplines, contractors, and clients.
Visit sites to advise on P&C engineering issues during construction.
Perform studies and create reports for coordination, voltage drop and insulation coordination.
