Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Substation Engineer to provide technical leadership for a team delivering high‑voltage substation designs, battery energy storage, and solar collector substations. You will supervise engineers, review drawings, and manage budgets and schedules to ensure safe, cost-effective projects.

Required 8+ years of engineering experience, ABET/EAC-accredited degree (or equivalent), and a PE license.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a practicing engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree from ABET/EAC accredited program or equivalent evaluation by NCEES.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for projects and perform responsible charge engineering duties.
• Oversee design, QA/QC, and production of engineering drawings for substation projects.
• Develop scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules for substation projects.
• Create grounding studies and designs, and perform related calculations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, vendors, and clients and visit sites as needed.
• Manage project budgets and schedules and mentor junior staff.
