Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking a Lead P&C Field Technician to support protection and control systems across utility, industrial, and energy infrastructure sites. You’ll guide testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of relays, breakers, transformers, and associated equipment in collaboration with experienced field personnel.

The role targets early-career engineers or recent grads with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, power systems, and field safety.

Qualifications

• Test, troubleshoot, and commission relays, breakers, transformers and other protection devices
• Coordinate verification of breaker trip circuits and SCADA points
• Perform field testing and validation of CTs/PTs/CVTs and associated systems
• Maintain detailed service reports, calibration logs, and commissioning sign-offs
• Ensure safety procedures including JHA, PPE and LOTO are followed

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of relays and protection devices
• Coordinate testing and validation of power system components
• Maintain job records and commissioning documentation accurately
• Interface with clients during pre-job briefs and final turnover
• Support continuous improvement through post-project reviews
