Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Substation Engineer Lead for a major industrial client. You will act as the technical authority for medium‑voltage infrastructure, owning reliability, protection & control, asset management, modernization initiatives, and capital projects critical to manufacturing operations.

You will mentor teams, lead SCADA/digital system enhancements, and coordinate with utilities to ensure safety and continuous operation of the facility's MV distribution network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in power systems, MV distribution, or substations.
• Experience with protective relaying and coordination studies.
• Proven track record leading capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site SME for medium-voltage power distribution systems and lead reliability initiatives.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex electrical issues affecting reliability, safety, and production.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for electrical failures.
• Oversee substations, switchgear, transformers, protective relaying, and distribution equipment.
